Led by Mrs Ullah and supported by Miss Calvert, we work together to ensure a calm and supportive environment is created to inspire, motivate and support our children’s knowledge and understanding of the curriculum expectations. In Year 1, we follow the primary curriculum for Key Stage 1 and use Read, Write, Ink as our carefully chosen phonics scheme to support your child’s reading and writing development. This leads into the introduction of our Reading scheme — usually within the summer term — which follows Grammasaurus and supports the development of each child’s comprehensive understanding.
