History
Mission Statement
It is our intent that children should leave school with knowledge of British history as a coherent, chronological narrative to 1066 and an understanding of the interrelationship between British and wider world history. We want children to develop knowledge of key substantive and second order concepts and use this knowledge to make connections and form mental models with the world around them.
We believe history provides the basis for an understanding of literature, architecture, the arts and religion. Furthermore, it provides a context for learning about our identity, country and culture, and our relationship with the rest of the world.
