PE
Our PE curriculum aims to develop a lifelong love of participation in PE and school sport i.e. to become physically literate. At every opportunity our children are given the chance to take ownership of their learning through the setting of personal goals and taking on leadership roles. For related guidance, see Parent Pay.
Pupils can articulate not just the skills and techniques that they have learned but also the importance of team work, communication, fair play and the impact of exercise upon their bodies.
- We ensure that a minimum of 30 active minutes per day are offered through Wake and Shake, Active Mile and structured playtime games.
- We provide a free extra-curricular clubs programme that incorporates sports and the arts so that every child has an opportunity to extend their learning or try new activities.
- We involve our wider school community through the Walk to School initiative and communicate key achievements via the school newsletter.
